Yellow Bird

Blue Bird

Black & White Bird
Here are four of the 17 birds I made for an exchange at my ATC group this Saturday. I hand coloured all of them on the front then gave in to this flare-up of my arthritis and used a Sure Copy to make the backs. The hardest part for me was putting the fronts and backs together as I don't have the gene for meticulous work!! As I put them together I added the feathers from my collection of feathers I have picked up off the ground for years. Last I made the ribbon wings.
Many Coloured Bird

Here are a few of my ATCs from this month's ATC challenge "Permission to ...". I made a series of 26 - I realize once more how much I like to make things in a series. These have attached tags and some need to have the tag moved in order to see the "Permission to ..." statement. I used tags and stickers from Graphic 45 as well as some scraps of card stock with double sided sticky tape left over from making my birds for that swap. I liked drawing on all these little oddly shaped bits and pieces. Often finding birds in the shapes - and one little mouse! I just am in love with all the flying pigs from Graphic 45!!!

Night Houses

First drawing in awhile. I am also working on a beaded fairie. It feels so positive to be making art again, and to be able to scan my art and post it on my blog. Hopefully I will get back to regular blogging. Still struggling with some health issues, but optimistic that all will be well soon. I am now down to almost no prescription meds and hopefully less soon. I did succumb to my fierce allergies and started taking Clariton - this is the worst allergy season I can remember. But also the first in years I was trying to do without any allergy meds! I sold a beaded doll which really helped out with end of the month groceries - Fire Goddess. I als sold my Crane Painting, but have yet to get the money. Every little bit helps.
